Building from the menu is slow. With binds you place a sentry gun, a laser mine or a dispenser with one key. Copy the binds below into the console or into your config.
Binds to copy
Open the console with ~, paste these lines and press Enter after each one:
bind n nightvision
bind v build_sentrygun
bind CAPSLOCK build_lasermine
bind p build_dispenser| Bind | What it does |

bind n nightvision | Quick menu: build, shop, settings. Looking at your building - its control menu. |
bind v build_sentrygun | Build a sentry gun where you look (on the floor). |
bind CAPSLOCK build_lasermine | Place a laser mine on the wall you look at. |
bind p build_dispenser | Build a dispenser (heals your team). |
Keys that work without binds: E in the air - parachute; E on your own building - its control menu; touch a sentry - upgrade; hold R looking at a sentry - repair.
How to save binds (userconfig.cfg)
Binds typed in the console can be lost after a game update or on another server. To keep them:
- Open the
cstrikefolder (Steam: right-click Counter-Strike → Manage → Browse local files). - Create a text file
userconfig.cfg(make sure it is notuserconfig.cfg.txt). - Paste the binds from above, save, and restart the game.
Chat commands
Type them in the chat (Y). Most of them also work with ! instead of /.
